Vipal aims to use rice husks in rubber production.
"One of the advantages of using rice husk ash, besides providing a proper destination for waste, is the diversification of raw materials in the rubber chain," said Rodemir Conte, Manager of Rubber Products and Process Engineering at Vipal. He noted that developing new, more sustainable materials and products requires long-term effort.
